When is Inflammation Bad? [VIDEO]
Inflammation is something I see in patients with vein conditions almost every day. One common question I get asked frequently is, can inflammation be a bad thing? And, if so, when does it become more negative than positive? My answer is that it's always different for each person and their specific health issues. Why though?
Why do People Associate Inflammation Negatively?
It appears as though inflammatory conditions is on the rise perhaps due to the increase of fast food and refined processed foods in our diet.
Many have this intuition about their health due to the internet, magazines, news articles, etc., telling them that inflammation isn't a good thing. Most of the time, inflammation is a healing response in your body. However, there are certain conditions like cancer or arthritis that can give off excess inflammation.
Inflammation produces a lot of small chemicals from the cells that trigger an alteration in the body's energy levels. This is why you tend to feel run down or exhausted, which is one of the most common symptoms of inflammation. The good news here is that most of the symptoms you may be experiencing with inflammation can be reduced with a vein treatment. It's important to remember that most of the time, if inflammation is present for a limited period, it is generally a good thing.
