As 2023 comes to a close, I am ecstatic to reflect on the many accomplishments that Missouri Vein Care has achieved. It's been a year filled with remarkable strides, growth, success, and challenges - all rooted in our unceasing mission of making a difference in our patients' lives.
We celebrate the fact that we have helped hundreds of men and women of all ages regain an active and confident lifestyle through vein treatment. If you follow our Facebook or Instagram, you'll regularly see photos of our patients, and now friends, who are enthusiastic about sharing their stories and letting the public see some amazing before and after photos. Each story and each photo are shared by individual people who are the driving force behind why I do what I do. Motivated years ago by my own story, I find tremendous fulfillment in helping others live the lives they love, free from the limitations of a vein condition.
What excites me is seeing people return to an active healthy lifestyle and return to health they had thought they'd lost. Informed individuals are empowered to make smart decisions about their health and can have better-informed conversations with their primary care practitioner. Ultimately, the goal of our staff is to help people stay active - an essential part of enjoying good health and longevity.
Reflecting on the Challenges and the Opportunities of the Past Year
As 2023 draws to a close, reflecting on Missouri Vein Care's journey unveils a year mingled with both triumphs and challenges. This year has been a testament to remarkable patient successes and the unwavering dedication of our team toward restoring health and vitality.
We celebrate the fact that, over the last year, we have treated over 2,000 individuals - men and women of all ages - in reclaiming a vibrant and active lifestyle. The shadows of COVID and the lockdowns are diminishing as we steadily grow our practice, returning to the peak numbers we enjoyed in previous years. The steadfast leadership of Ken Blake, our practice manager, has been instrumental in fortifying our team and revitalizing our practice.
However, amidst our triumphs, adversity struck unexpectedly on Christmas Eve 2022. Frozen pipes burst in our Jefferson City Clinic, leading to a flood that rendered the main floor uninhabitable. The daunting sight of a flooded clinic greeted us post-holiday, prompting the closure of that location and embarking on a journey of renovations. We are anxious to get the clinic back up and running and expect a grand re-opening date sometime this spring.
Our Commitment to Vein Health Education
Through education and awareness, our team has been diligently working to help our patients achieve and maintain excellent vein health. We are thrilled that our healthcare blog and YouTube channel have become such valuable resources for many individuals looking to learn more about their vein health. We are proud of the wide range of free resources available to people like yourself who want to learn more and be a better advocate for your health and well-being.
We are excited that we've published over 50 blogs and recorded over 50 videos. Thousands of people read our blog content and watch our videos on our YouTube Channel. Our YouTube Channel has grown by over 2,600 subscribers this year and has logged over 763,000 views in 2023 alone.

For me, attending the International Vein Congress in sunny Miami Beach in April 2023 was a highlight. Engaging with global experts and hearing about the latest advancements in vein care treatments invigorated my commitment to our patient's well-being. Along with the professional insights, indulging in Miami's famed mojitos added a delightful touch to the experience.
Our Commitment to Vein Health Continues
People suffer when they don't know that there are solutions to the symptoms they experience. We see people daily who tell us what their lives were like before vein treatment and then describe the changes they've experienced since...and it's humbling. It's why we work extra hard not just to treat patients but to spread the word about the various symptoms of a vein condition, vein treatments, how they work, and what they do for people.
